Mentor-Monday – Paul O’Brien

Paul O’Brien is a long time Silicon Valley technology and startup veteran who is deeply involved in the Austin community. O’Brien is better known as SEO’Brien on the internet for his extensive past in the search industry. O’Brien is an experienced marketer who began his early career at Yahoo! and HP and led growth at startups such as (acquired by GoDaddy), Zvents (acquired by StubHub) and MicroVentures. O’Brien now works in Venture Capital Economic Development. He founded Media Tech Ventures, a media venture development group. He is also a Director of Founder Institute for Texas. Paul O’Brien brings industries to market while commercializing businesses, products, web services and entrepreneurs.

Business Architect, Startup Advisor, Website Designer, Growth Hacker and Innovation Evangelist, are just a few words used to describe Paul O’Brien. He launched a nonprofit organization Collective last month after parent company MediaTech Ventures completed the Impact Hub Austin Workforce Development Accelerator. MediaTech Ventures expects to be operating in five U.S cities by 2019, supporting Collective. O’Brien was recently named one of Austin’s top Newsmakers by Austin Business Journal.
